What proofing tools can I use to make comments?
Push Pin (Thumb Tack)
The Push Pin tool marks a precise spot on the document to comment on.
The Box tool allows you to free-draw a marquee over any part of the document by clicking and dragging with your mouse. This is great for highlighting an area of content rather than a precise spot. You could also use this to highlight lines of text that need editing.
If you want to remove words or lines of text from the proof then use the Strike tool.
The Highlight tool is just like using a highlighter pen and is perfect for shading areas on the proof.
Tick (Check Mark)
This is a simple way to show that a piece of content on the proof is correct or accurate. This could be important with pricing or item information for example.
The opposite of Tick, the Cross tool shows an immediate mistake to fix such as a promotional code or price tag.
The Arrow is a fast and clear way to point to a specific area or object on the proof.
Easily draw a straight line on the proof to measure the precise distance between two points. The distances are based on the document setup, so are great for giving you life-size indication.
The Question tool uses @Mentioning technology to instantly notify other collaborators to join a review. @Mentioning can also be used within comment threads.
Range (for Video)
When making a comment on a video, you can select a range of time that the comment applies to. For example, you can say ‘Would you remove this section please’ and set the range from 1 sec to 2.5 secs on the timeline.
The Rotate tool allows you to spin the proof through 90 degree angles. It’s great for proofing custom shapes such as packaging designs.
Use the Draw tool for quick and easy freehand scribbles on the proof.
How do I convert existing Collaborators into Publishers?
What files can I share using the Uploader?
Do all users need a licence?
So for example, if there were 3 people in your creative team sending proofs to 25 collaborators, you would need 3 GoProof licences. The 25 collaborators would use the system for free. And you can invite as many collaborators as you want!
